Job Description:

We are a group practice looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven and team-focused professional to represent our Group as a full-time front desk administrator. We seek a friendly and energetic person to manage the front desk of a busy pediatric / orthodontic practice, who enjoys and is comfortable greeting children and families. The person will play a pivotal role in the daily flow of the practice and helping to achieve our mission of building health families together.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Greeting families warmly, checking them in and out

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to make patients and parents feel welcomed; communicate professionally with clients on the phone and in person

  • Checking insurance eligibility, verify procedure coverage, calculating co-pay, and collecting payments

  • Answering phone calls promptly and politely, ensuring that calls and messages are directed to and received by the appropriate provider and support staff

  • Identifying patients in need of appointments, contacting them, scheduling appointments, and following up on no-show appointments

  • Answer patients' basic questions regarding insurance eligibility, fee, scheduling

  • Perform related tasks to enhance the quality of service to patients

  • Basic office administrative duties

  • A consummate team-player to integrate with our strong patient-focused team

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy consistent with HIPAA guidelines

  • A positive can-do attitude with a desire to learn and flexibility

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn medical record management software

  • Education: High school diploma or higher

The ideal candidate would have at least 1-year experience in a medical practice and familiarity with dental insurance. Experience with Eaglesoft, PracticeWork or Dolphin is a plus.
